Is it safe for me to get a massage/reflexology treatment?2022-09-13T09:19:49+00:00

If you are receiving medical attention or taking prescribed medication for a condition, it’s best to get permission from your GP or Consultant.

When should I cancel a massage/reflexology appointment?2022-09-13T09:22:41+00:00

It’s best to postpone your treatment if you have any of the following:

  • Covid/Flu
  • Fever
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Thrombosis or phlebitis
  • Any acute condition that needs medical attention

If you’re unsure, give me a call before your appointment to check.

Will I need to take off my clothes for massage/reflexology?2022-09-13T09:27:32+00:00

It depends on the treatment.

For Indian Head massage or Facial reflexology, you remain fully clothed.

For foot Reflexology you take your shoes and socks off (if I had a pound coin for everyone who has apologised for their feet, I’d be a rich woman!).

For Massage treatments, you are given privacy to undress (usually to your underwear) and lay on the treatment couch under a sheet or towel.  You can be assured that your privacy and dignity is maintained throughout the treatment, with only the area being worked on uncovered at any point.

Can I have a massage/reflexology treatment if I’m pregnant?2022-09-13T09:32:32+00:00

Absolutely!  Complementary therapies can be hugely supportive for your mind and body throughout your pregnancy.

It is recommended that you wait until the first trimester for your own peace of mind.

If you choose an Aromatherapy massage, certain essential oils will be avoided altogether and those used will be done so sparingly.

How often should I have massage/reflexology?2022-09-13T09:42:09+00:00

It really depends on why you’re seeking support.  If you have an injury or acute pain, you may notice an improvement in just a few sessions.

Most of my clients visit monthly once they begin to feel better in their body and mind as a result of having regular treatments.

Do you have parking?2022-09-13T09:43:10+00:00

Yes, there is on street parking immediately outside.  Do give me a call if you get stuck!

How do I pay for treatment?2022-09-13T09:43:53+00:00

You can bring cash or make a bank transfer.

Can I use private healthcare insurance to pay for treatment?2022-09-13T09:47:10+00:00

Yes, quite possibly.  Private healthcare insurance providers like Bupa, Health Shield, Paycare, UK Healthcare, Westfield Health and others include complementary therapies on certain policies.  I can provide a receipt on headed paper.  For more information, please contact your insurance provider.

What’s your cancellation policy?2022-09-13T09:54:03+00:00

If you need to cancel a treatment, please give at least 48 hours notice.  This is to allow me to offer the slot to another person.  If you cancel within 24 hours or don’t turn up without a valid reason, future bookings will be refused.
